The tests will make it easy for health care providers to diagnose children ,who are difficult to diagnose,as they can’t spit out sputum,leaving health care workers resorting to painful and stressful procedures,sometimes even hospitalization.
The research was conducted in Indonesia and results were as accurate as sputum test_says Petra De Haas of KNCV Tuberculosis foundation.
Other advantage is,the research needs no extra resources as the traditional GeneXpert machine,used to test sputum was used.
The test needs to be conducted in larger scale before WHO recommends it for other countries
